We will communicate via email or phone to set up therapy including completing consent paperwork and reviewing fees and policies. You will be provided a secure Zoom link to meet for our sessions.
-
No, I only offer online sessions - to adults located anywhere in CA or AZ.

Confidentiality and other policies will be reviewed. You will have a chance to answer any questions and express your needs for therapy. I will ask you general questions about your life. about the symptoms you’re experiencing and their recent impact. I will inquire more about your goals for therapy so I can know how to guide you and so we can track progress as we go.
-
The short answer: as long as you want to be! Ultimately, therapy (and how you use it) is your choice.
Typically as my clients consistently start to feel better and meet their goals, I recommend reducing the frequency we meet in order to maintain and solidify the gains.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to offer patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.

There are several factors involved in the speed of progress such as how often we meet, how well we work together as a team, what your specific goals are, and how much time you can devote to practicing concepts between sessions.
I’ve seen clients start to feel significant relief anywhere between 2 months - over 1 year.

There will be sessions where you discover new insights about yourself or how to reframe a situation and these takeaways are strongly encouraged to think about and reflect on throughout your week. Practicing new ways of thinking helps rewire the brain, and we have endless opportunities in our day to notice and direct our thoughts - so it’s one of the best way to make change happen.
I don’t automatically assign homework, but I am absolutely willing, or may at times suggest, to offer to set up concrete challenges or weekly homework to help you toward your goals if it is appropriate and you are interested.
-
Ultimately this is up to you based on your needs, and I’m flexible with you.
I do recommend meeting weekly in the beginning and middle phases in order to maintain momentum and experience the most growth. I am willing to discuss scheduling and frequency, address your needs, and adjust at any time if needed.
