Anxiety, Depression & Trauma Therapy

Helping You Find Your Way Forward

Are you tired of treading water but getting nowhere?

You might be in SURVIVAL MODE

The waves of anxiety, depression or trauma start to pull us under over time.

Barely able to catch your breath. Bracing yourself for the next big one. Some days they just keep crashing. Other days you can smile on the surface but are kicking furiously underneath the water. Maybe you get a moment of calm waters and wonder if you actually need help or if it’s all in your head.

Is life supposed to be this hard?

Part of you could just keep handling it, because well, you already are to some extent. But another other part of you is desperate to stop the cycle because you are deeply hurting…craving for something to change, to be saved, to get a break from the constant work, to find it safely to solid ground.

This part of you is trying to tell you something very important…to alert you it’s time to heal. You can ignore the nagging voice for awhile - distract yourself, get busy with work, get caught up in your habits, but inevitably another wave comes again. This part of you - the part that craves to feel better will continue to come back and nag you until you really see it and address it.

You don’t have to just “GeT BY” anymore.

  • Prominent feelings of overwhelm, panic, hopelessness

  • Uncertainty about your direction in life and struggling with motivation toward your goals

  • Consumed with worry about how things will turn out or if you are making the right decision

  • Thinking through all the possible “what ifs” for any scenario

  • Feeling like you are a failure or disappointing yourself or others

  • Getting defensive or easily annoyed with people

Heal. Grow. Overcome.

You can do it.

Take the opportunity to

Recover, Recharge & Renew Yourself

In order to fully heal, we have to address the root cause of your feelings - typically a belief or set of beliefs that drive your perception of yourself and others.

My approach consists of educating you on how this belief system works so that you can know how to change it - in a way that is real and believable. I will guide you in finding specific, personalized strategies to help you to feel more in control of your distress, release and soothe the pain you’ve been holding, and allow your authentic self to be revealed.

There’s always a reason why we feel or act the way we do. As you start to learn the factors that fuel anxiety or depression for you specifically, you will start to take back the power over your symptoms. There are tons of concepts I can teach you about how to do this.

Increase Motivation

Without such heavy emotional burden, you will feel lighter, more able to do things you enjoy and be productive in the ways that serve you.

Connect with Yourself

Deeply understand, connect to and trust your authentic self without judgment.

Adopt a Healthier Mindset

Learn to not be scared by your thoughts anymore! Reduce intrusive memories. Feel more in control over negative, obsessive, or shame based thought spirals.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Trauma is an emotional response after any experience that feels stressful, scary or upsetting. This response likely involved a physical reaction in your body due to perceiving a threat and activating the fight/flight/freeze response. This reaction can happen whether the nature of the traumatic event was severe or mild.

We all have had emotional responses to difficult experiences in life. The degree of which it continues to impact someone’s life varies greatly.

PTSD involves a set of symptoms that could include (but not limited to): nightmares, flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, trouble sleeping, body pain, negative thoughts about yourself or others, or anger.

The difference between “having trauma” vs PTSD is that PTSD indicates the symptoms are impacting your functioning in some way or are causing significant distress. As we work together, I can help determine if your symptoms indicate PTSD.

  • Yes, slightly. My focus is primarily on root causes while also tailoring my guidance based on your specific set of symptoms and your goals. I will be open with you about which approaches I suggest based on your symptoms.

  • The symptoms of anxiety and depression are signs that the body and brain are having difficulty functioning in a healthy way. Our thoughts direct our feelings and then we act on those feelings. How we perceive something (i.e. as good/bad, scary/safe, etc.) creates our beliefs or “rules” to live by. Trauma can also influence our perceptions.

I can help you look for beliefs and habits that are contributing that may even be unconscious.
