YOU CAN FEEL GOOD WITHIN YOURSELF.
MEET Jennifer Oetinger, LMFT
ONLine CBT Therapist in ca & Az
You see what needs to change in your life, you just need a path to get there.
I can help you find it - and stay on it.
I work with adults who want to feel understood, supported and guided to what will bring them real, helpful lasting change.
Whether you have:
- been to therapy before, built understanding about yourself and now are ready for more direction
- put in hard work into improving your life on the outside and now want to feel good on the inside
- never been to therapy but feel the pull toward something more in your personal growth journey and aren’t sure what you’re missing
you’re in the right spot.
How I work
I view therapy as a team effort between us - both of us are working toward your goals.
For therapy to work best, I utilize a combination of:
awareness building (of our own tendencies and others)
psychoeducation (teaching you how our thoughts and feelings work)
action (practice between sessions applying the concepts)
My approach is flexible - to meet your needs as they change, to allow room to adjust and find strategies that work for you, and to give/receive feedback to one another in the process.
My approach is also structured - to remain grounded in methods that are evidenced based, to address root causes and maintain focus on the next steps in the path toward your goals.
The key to joy is not happiness but the courage to embody your true self

My Story
Experiencing anxiety since I was a kid, I craved self-understanding and knowledge. And while I achieved these gradually as a young adult, for a long time I still didn’t actually believe I could live without anxiety the rest of my life. It felt like anxiety defined a big part of me.
With changes in life seasons there came new challenges with my relationships, my career, and my health - so much so that I couldn’t keep going with the same habits and mindset anymore - it wasn't working. So, through a lot of discomfort, good support, therapy, hard work, hard truths, renewing my faith, and let's be real - LOTS MORE discomfort…well I’ve learned a lot.
So, I’ll be here with you…
sharing what I’ve learned, using my education and training and over a decade of experience, having empathy for what you must be experiencing and holding the belief that your pain doesn’t have to define you anymore.
Reliving in detail all your past experiences and pain
Venting the entire session
Me giving you all the answers OR me giving you no answers
Heavy, rigid, or judgmental
Looking at past experiences for themes and beliefs that were developed to uncover valuable information about your struggles now
Focused on building awareness and gradual action steps - some venting is okay! (but not the main focus)
Empowering you to find the answers within yourself AND me giving you my authentic feedback, science-based knowledge, and practical strategies
Relaxed, flexible and open-minded
